Lion Architects is a young, Finnish based, architectural practice providing services across Europe.
Founded by Gareth Barker in 2021, Lion Architects is a design led architectural practice focusing on domestic and international residential projects. Working with private clients, architects and both property developers & house builders to deliver their aspirations, whilst paying attention to the finest detail.

ARB & SAFA
Gareth is a qualified Architect who has gained experience in a number of award winning architecture practices in both the UK and Finland. Completing his Degree, Masters course and Post-Graduate Part 3 at Portsmouth University and joining the Architects Registration Board in 2015. He has recently been accepted as a member of SAFA, the Finnish Association of Architects.
With a focus towards creativity, design and practical implementation of projects, he has successfully lead both small and large scale residential projects. His masters course was orientated around urban design and live projects providing a practical grounding in architecture and the processes involved in bringing designs to fruition. Gareth’s Part 1 placement in historic Winchester afforded him the opportunity to work on many listed buildings, projects within conservation areas and heritage settings.
Since gaining ARB registration he has been responsible for managing and progressing projects, which includes a considerable amount of interaction with clients, consultants and necessary authorities. These projects have required him to develop his leadership, project management and delegation skills. The contrasting practices and business styles of his previous employments have provided him with a broad foundation of actual experience on which to build his architectural knowledge and career. At each practice he has been introduced to new software which he was able to adapt to quickly to manage multiple projects simultaneously; many of which were on site.
